ENERCALC Structural Engineering Library v6.16.8.31 [Size: 233.4 MB] ... The core of ENERCALC are calculation modules. Dating back to 1983 when the Structural Engineering Library was released as a set of spreadsheet templates, our modules are designed as “fill-in-the-blanks” style of interactive programs. Simply type in a value and the resulting analysis or design is instantly there for your review.

    All modules in Version 6 conform to IBC 2006/2009/2012/2015, CBC 2007/2010/2013, ASCE 7-05/7-10, ACI 318-05/08/11/14, ACI 530-05/08/11/12, AISC 360-10, NDS 2015, 2012 & 2005.
The calculation module list is an ever-expanding set of structural calculations that provide analysis and design for the elements of a building. As requests are received from our users we develop additional modules ... and make use of the proven steel, concrete, timber, finite element analysis, and other engineering “solvers” we have developed.

Essential to any project are the standard construction products that the engineer will employ to develop the final structure. ENERCALC provides databases of all typical rolled steel sections, sawn wood and engineered lumber sections, material grades for steel and wood and small databases for concrete block and rebar. In addition the user can create their own steel section databases and also mark “favorite” items in all databases to simplify the work according to their most frequent needs.

ENERCALC software provides well designed calculation reports for all of its modules. Using the full capabilities of modern printers we combine highly readable font styles with well laid out calculation reports and integrated graphics.

The goal of our reports is to provide clarity and efficiency. This benefits the reviewing engineer and governmental plan check reviewer by providing well laid out, concise and thorough report that details the structural design. New technology has given us the gift of low cost color on printouts, and this benefits us all by allowing us to incorporate contrasting colors to call attention to warnings or overstress conditions.
All printouts conform to 8.5” x 11” typical United States paper sizes, and the user is also free to customize title block layouts and add company logos and a P.E. seal.

Modeling can be staged, and time-dependent consolidation analysis can be performed including primary and secondary consolidation (creep) at user defined time intervals. A variety of linear and non-linear material types can be modeled. Groundwater elevation can be staged and horizontal and vertical drainage conditions can be specified. Circular, rectangular or polygonal load shapes can be defined with uniform or variable load magnitudes, and flexible or rigid foundations. Loading can be staged and applied at any depth (e.g. to simulate piles or raft foundations). Excavations can be defined and loads applied within excavated areas. A special embankment designer allows you to easily define multi-stage layered embankments. Back analysis options allow you to determine the pre-load fill height or time required to achieve a given settlement. Settlement, stress and pore pressure are computed throughout the 3-dimensional volume, and results can be contoured along any horizontal or vertical plane, or plotted along any line. Settlement deformation can be viewed in 3-dimensions, magnified by a user-defined scale factor. Data presentation is highly interactive, and contours and graphs are updated in real time as you change the data type, depth or location. Results can be exported to Excel with a single mouse click.

    Basic Capabilities
Design or check single-column spread footings made of reinforced concrete
Column may be eccentric on footing
Calculation of bearing pressure under biaxial loading
Optional rectangular pedestal, offset from center
Checks several footings all at once (design for worst case) with multiple 'load sets'
Multiple footings in a single project file

    Stability Checks
Checks bearing pressure, overturning, sliding, and uplift
Maximum allowable bearing pressure can be gross or net
Specify a passive resistance from the adjacent soil for sliding
Specify the coefficient of friction between the footing and soil
Specify an additional downward force to resist uplift
